KMBA delivered the first batch of molds for Norilsk Nickel
Kyshtym machine builders produced five molds for the largest enterprise in the Krasnoyarsk Territory - Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant named after B. I. Kolesnikov. Two are already at the customer’s, three more will be shipped soon.
Molds in the form of truncated pyramids are made of low alloy steel - this is a fairly ductile material that practically does not form cracks.Their expected service life of about three years. Each unit weighs 10,5 tons. It holds up to 29 tons of copper-nickel matte - a mixture consisting of copper, nickel, cobalt, iron, sulfur and precious metals.
